Basic licenses
Wingfoiling
Wingfoiling is the newest discipline in the WWS family. Like every WWS basic license, the Basic Wingboarding License is taught at recognised member schools according to uniform international guidelines.
Training
Training combines wing handling on land, board and foil control on the water, and safety. Courses are divided by age, fitness and proficiency — from your very first session to confident foiling.
The examination
Theory exam
Theory covers materials, safety, right of way, weather and environment — matched to the WWS uniform guidelines.
Practical exam
You pass when you can handle wing and board safely and return to your starting point independently.
Your certificate
The WWS certificate of proficiency can be purchased at the end of the course directly from your school. On presentation of the certificate, you can additionally order the waterproof card from the WWS association in Germany — credit-card format, made for the water.
