WWS

The association

An independent home for watersport education

Founded in 1983, WWS-WWC e.V. is an international association of watersport schools, instructors and members — training instructors from every country, regardless of nationality or language.

How the association works

The association is connected with dedicated sports departments responsible for organising and supervising WWS schools and instructors. These departments run courses and sporting events, while the association itself creates and distributes educational material and oversees the quality of every recognised WWS school and instructor.

The instruction team

A team with a passion for their sport

The association's Instruction Team consists of specially trained and qualified watersport instructors and educators. They teach the association's instructors and develop the instructional materials, training guidelines and examination regulations.

WWS instructors complete practically relevant, extensive training and examinations across diverse watersports. Through initial training and regular continuing education they bring a high level of expertise to their sport and to teaching — with enough leeway in the guidelines to shape courses around each student's needs.
