Einstieg & Strand

Launch from the sandy beach with easy water entry; favorable when winds come from W, WNW, or SW directions. Watch for choppy conditions that build throughout the day.

Lokale Regeln

Respect other water users and maintain safe distances from swimmers and sailors. Follow local beach regulations and yield to established kiters during peak wind conditions.

Vorfahrt & Verhalten

Spot-Guide

The Experience

Wide sandy beach, straightforward launch. Water's never flat—the Baltic sees to that. Shallow sandbars mean constant bottom awareness, especially on low tide. It's not dangerous if you respect the conditions, but it demands attention.

Kiters are here year-round because the numbers work. Nearly 200 windy days isn't luck.

Wind & Conditions

Average 12.6 knots, dominated by W, WNW, and SW. October, January, and March are strongest. These wind directions blow cleaner and keep chop manageable. E winds are less predictable and messier.

Consistency means you can actually plan trips and expect to ride.

The Water

Cold in winter—booties and gloves essential. Chop builds through the day. Morning sessions are smoother; by afternoon you need real board control. Strong Baltic currents will push you if you're not actively managing position. Shipping traffic operates nearby.

Who It's For

Intermediate and above. You need solid water sense and the ability to handle variable conditions. Beginners will find schools and rentals in town, but won't learn in ideal conditions.

This spot rewards progression over comfort. If you need every session to feel effortless, go elsewhere.
