Lokale Tipps

This spot enjoys exceptional wind availability (321 days/year); always check local tide tables as shallow water dynamics change significantly between high and low tide. Winter months (Dec-Feb) offer peak conditions with more consistent, stronger winds.

Einstieg & Strand

Launch from the flat water lagoon areas where consistent ENE/NE winds dominate; start early as afternoon thermals can create gusty conditions.

Lokale Regeln

Respect other water users and maintain awareness in busy tourist areas; stick to designated kite zones to avoid conflicts with swimmers and boats.

Was anziehen

Light rash guard or thin wetsuit sufficient year-round due to warm Caribbean waters; sun protection is essential for extended sessions.

Spot-Guide

The Experience

Flat-water lagoon, ENE/NE winds, minimal crowds. You get progression space without swell or drama—just edge control. Infrastructure is basic. No resort amenities, no lifeguards, no rentals nearby. That's the trade: reliable wind and solitude for logistics.

Wind & Conditions

321 usable days/year. Winter (Dec–Feb) runs strongest at 15–20 knots with cleaner patterns. Afternoon thermals create chop and gusts by midday—launch early or skip it. Wind direction locks you into specific approach angles; limited flexibility on where you can work.

Shoulder months are patchier but still rideable. Turbulence from thermal heating is real by 2 PM onward.

Water Hazards

Shallow throughout. Sandbars shift with tide; you need constant depth awareness. High tide opens usable area; low tide compresses it and raises grounding risk. Strong tidal currents are genuine hazards. Sea grass in sections adds navigation complexity. Not a spot for zoning out.

Who Should Go

Beginners and low-intermediate riders comfortable with early mornings, tide tables, and active water management. Skip this if you want deep water, afternoon sessions, or established infrastructure.
